Are you a self-starter who loves working collaboratively, problem solving and making a difference to health data research and innovation? Do you get really excited by BIG data, innovative data engineering and the potential to deliver and catalyse new research into pragmatic solutions for better health outcomes? If so, you could be working with the Health Informatics Centre team (HIC - https://www.dundee.ac.uk/hic/) at the University of Dundee.

HIC are looking to recruit an Infrastructure Specialist for a new and interesting large, 18-month, health data project. Your priorities will include:
  • You are required to develop the management and monitoring tools and system processes to operate the infrastructure in an optimal, proactive manner;

  • You will be expected to investigate the requirements of the research, software and data teams and to translate these into manageable infrastructure and system solutions;

  • You will be expected to own and manage your own work streams and projects to completion as well as contribute to others.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Highly skilled/experienced in cloud architecture and deployment, high performance computing and information security;

  • Experience of leading/mentoring teams;

  • Experience of working in ISO27001 environments/secure environments;

  • A team player with the ability to work using own initiative, deliver outputs within agreed timeframes and work under pressure.
